The class visited Walnut Hall Estate east of Carrollton this week, where owner Brittany Weller shared the story of how she and her husband, Greenfield native Bobby Weller, built their event venue business.

Brittany explained that when they got married in 2009, they were searching for a venue in the county that had everything in one place. When they couldn’t find their dream location, they started talking about creating one themselves. That vision eventually led them to the historic Henry T. Rainey Farm, which they purchased in 2020 and transformed into Walnut Hall Estate. They hosted their very first wedding in 2021.
Brittany also spoke to the class about the ripple effect a venue like this has on the local economy, from caterers and florists to hotels, gas stations, and coffee shops. She gave students a tour of the beautiful grounds and shared some of the rich history of the Rainey Farm along the way.

We are so grateful to Brittany for her time, her hospitality, and her continued support of the CEO program. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and we truly appreciate her investment in our students and in this community.
