This morning, the class met with Greene-Calhoun CEO Board President, Julie Rhoads, and Illinois Electric Cooperative General Manager, Randy Long, to discuss the criteria for a $2,500 award Illinois Electric Cooperative is offering CEO students. The cash award goes towards furthering students' education and careers. As a class, the students decide how the money will be awarded and set the criteria for the award. This exercise is a great way to reinforce communication skills, negotiation skills, and learning to disagree respectfully.
Thank you to Julie and Randy for their time today and to Illinois Electric Cooperative for the investment in the students’ futures.
